Services for Adults
The Centre's Vocational Service was initiated in 1978 and was expanded to a comprehensive vocational team in 1984, providing vocational counselling, career exploration and planning, employment skills training and job placement services to individuals with a wide range of disabilities and complex needs.
The Vocational staff are members of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada and are either Registered Rehabilitation Professionals (RRP) or working towards registration.
For over 20 years the vocational team has maintained a high rate of sucess in assisting individuals with disabilities to develop realistic career goals and to secure competitive employment.
Currently the BC Centre for Ability offers 4 Adult Service Programs.
